A dark corner of the garden shaded by two large evergreen trees that had very little use. The client had been unsuccessful with planting and they therefore wanted to landscape the area, but to have a some fun with it, so that it would be interesting to look at from the house. They like traditional features, and love Italian style. For planting the client likes both interesting leaves and lots of soft colour. Budget £10,000.
Solution: After some investigation on folly’s and structures for gardens, we agreed on a classical folly designed and supplied by Redwood Stone, with a large patio, turning an unused dark corner into a light usable space, subtly planted with shade loving plants.
